Canada-based bread company Ozery Bakery will debut the first-ever packaged vegan brioche bread at the Natural Products Expo West this week. Brioche is traditionally made with butter, eggs, and milk, and Ozery Bakery—which makes other varieties of vegan bread—developed Vegan Brioche Bites and Vegan Brioche Buns to serve a growing demand for plant-based products. “We’re always experimenting and revolutionizing our bread products,” the company’s co-founder Alon Ozery said, “so we challenged ourselves with the task of creating a better for you brioche that maintains the bread’s appealing richness and texture, while not sacrificing on flavor, taste and quality.” The new brioche products will hit store shelves in May 2017 and will cost between $4.49 and $4.99. Companies worldwide continue to launch innovative vegan products such as meringue-shaped sweetener Liteez by Israeli company Lompados, coming to store shelves in October.
