Vegan web series The Vegan Roadie will head to Italy for its third, and final, season. Show creator, host, and vegan chef Dustin Harder launched the series in 2015 with the mission to uncover the best vegan food in the country and teach viewers how to create simple meals in their hotel rooms. The third season will be Harder’s maiden voyage to Italy, where he will sample authentic (and often vegan) versions of pizza and pasta dishes in Naples, the Amalfi coast, and Tuscany. This season will feature a segment entitled “Cooking with the Familia,” wherein Harder will cook a vegan meal with an Italian family and then re-creates that meal using only five ingredients in his hotel room. “I hope viewers will want to travel and eat,” Harder tells VegNews. “Most importantly, I hope we reach non-vegans. Everyone has their own form of activism, and this is mine.” The “Ciao Italia” season—which is currently raising funds for production costs—will debut all six episodes on The Vegan Roadie YouTube Channel in February 2018.
