Dubai’s Popular Vegan Makeup Brand Lands in US

Dubai-based vegan makeup brand Luscious Cosmetics recently expanded its distribution to the United States. Founder Mehrbano Sethi created the company in 2007 while attending college in Boston and formulated her line to match the diverse range of her friends’ skin tones. “Luscious Cosmetics brings a multicultural, truly international perspective to beauty,” Sethi told media outlet Popsugar. “We have been vegan and cruelty-free since we launched, before it was trendy to do so.” According to Sethi, Luscious Cosmetics is inspired by a “Southeast Asia meets Hollywood” aesthetic and is built to withstand humidity and heat. Earlier this summer, vegan makeup brand Mented Cosmetics debuted a nail polish line in three tones with the mission of helping people of color achieve the “nude” look.
