To our community,

We at VegNews are distraught by the violent displays of terrorism, racism, and white supremacy the nation has witnessed in the past week—and beyond. Now more than ever, we’re acutely aware of the systemic racism deeply embedded in our country, and our eyes are open to the fact that racism often takes much more subtle and insidious faces than what we’ve seen in Charlottesville. This company and our team does not support white supremacy. We will hold at the core of our ethos the fundamental value of social and racial justice. We see animal rights as part of a bigger commitment to social justice in all its forms—including standing against all injustices to marginalized groups. So, we are committed to do our part to prioritize inclusivity within our pages—both digitally and in our magazine—and are working toward a clear plan to have our content match what we believe. We hope you stand with us. We each have voices and platforms—let’s use them to unapologetically speak up for what is right.

In solidarity,
