Dr. Bronner’s Debuts New “End Factory Farming!” Label

Vegan company Dr. Bronner’s recently released a limited-edition soap label featured on its 4-ounce Almond Castile Liquid Soaps. The label prominently displays the message, “End Factory Farming!” and facts about animal agriculture, including that 99 percent of animals exploited for meat, cheese, and eggs live in “horrific” conditions in concentrated feed operations. “Leading a vegan life is more than a dietary preference, it is a philosophy of living on behalf of the well-being and dignity of animal life and wild ecosystems,” Dr. Bronner’s CEO David Bronner, grandson of founder Emanuel Bronner, said. “I’m grateful to my family, who support regenerative organic agriculture to mitigate climate change, which is directly linked to our current industrialized food system and inhumane factory farming of animals.” The boldly labeled soap will be distributed for free at animal-rights events and by animal sanctuaries throughout the year. This year, Dr. Bronner’s has donated $750,000 to organizations fighting for social justice, including animal-rights group Compassion Over Killing, LGBTQ-led organization VINE Sanctuary, and Encompass—a nonprofit launched by women of color last year to bring racial diversity to the vegan movement.
