Today, wellness brand Not Pot launched daily vegan cannabidiol (CBD) “polar bear” gummies. Available by subscription, each jar of CBD gummies contains 30 polar-bear-shaped, gelatin-free gummies that are infused with 10 milligrams of proprietary full-spectrum hemp extract each. Not Pot worked with scientists and cannabis researchers to formulate a safe, effective CBD supplement that works daily to maintain the health of the body’s endocannabinoid system, which involves processes such as pain, memory, mood, appetite, stress, sleep, and immune function. “It’s an exciting time for cannabis brands and consumers alike now that cannabis is finally entertaining the mainstream,” Not Pot Founder and CEO Kati Holland said. “However, as CBD specifically garners attention in the media and becomes synonymous with trendy celebrity treatments and money-hungry gimmicks, it’s important to reclaim the term ‘CBD’ for science, and make sure that profits from legalization are reinvested in communities most harmed by prohibition.” Not Pot aims to shed light on injustices in the criminal justice system, specifically involving cannabis convictions due to prohibition, and will be donating a portion of its profits to The Bail Project—an organization that combats mass incarceration by offering a revolving bail fund. Not Pot pledges to pay bail for one person in need every month.
