This week, ice cream giant Ben & Jerry’s debuted a new vegan flavor, Coconutterly Caramel’d, across the United Kingdom. The new coconut flavor features swirls of vegan caramel and cookie and chocolate chunks. “We’ve been churning on this for years, trying to recreate the luscious flavors and satisfying creaminess that set Ben & Jerry’s dairy collection apart, and we think we’ve cracked it with a taste like no udder,” Ben & Jerry’s Flavour Guru Josine Nohlmans said. “We think this tastes so good that our non-dairy fans won’t miss what’s missing.” In 2016, Ben & Jerry’s launched its first four almond milk-based vegan flavors in the United States (PB & Cookies, Coffee Caramel Fudge, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Chunky Monkey) before expanding the line with three more flavors (Cherry Garcia, Caramel Almond Brittle, and Coconut Seven Layer Bar) in 2017. Earlier this year, Ben & Jerry’s debuted two new flavors, Peanut Butter Half Baked and Cinnamon Buns, to further expand its vegan line. The new Coconutterly Caramel’d flavor is currently only available in the UK, along with the Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chunky Monkey, and Peanut Butter & Cookies flavors the ice cream giant launched in the UK in 2017.
