Four vegan flavors of Halo Top Creamery’s ice cream pints—Peanut Butter Swirl, Toasted Coconut, Birthday Cake, and Chocolate—will be available this month at Canadian retailers Loblaws, Metro Ontario, and Sobeys. “Canada was our most requested country before launching there earlier this year, and, after launching, our non-dairy pints became our No. 1 requested item from Canadians,” Halo Top president Doug Bouton said. “So, we listened and responded as quickly as possible, just in time for Canadians to enjoy for the rest of the summer.” The brand launched its first seven coconut milk-based vegan flavors last year and added seven more vegan options—two newly formulated flavors (Toasted Coconut and Vanilla Maple) and five veganized versions of fan-favorite flavors (Pancakes & Waffles, Birthday Cake, Candy Bar, Chocolate Almond Crunch, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough)—to its dairy-free pint line in February. Similarly, traditionally dairy-based ice cream brands continue to add new flavors to their existing vegan lines, including Häagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry’s.
