Vegan Grilled Cheese Pop-Up to Open in British Columbia

Old Crow Coffee Co., a café in New Westminster, BC, has launched an all-vegan grilled cheese pop-up this summer, offering a rotating menu of specialty grilled cheese sandwiches (made with Violife Foods’ mature cheddar) such as the Spaghetti and Meatless Balls Grilled Cheese, Mac ‘n’ Cheese Grilled Cheese, Wilted Garlic and Kale Grilled Cheese, and Beer-Soaked Grilled Cheese. “There is a street fair that happens on Front Street called ‘Fridays on Front’ during the summer. We wanted to offer something different from our regular menu during the event, and seeing that there was a lack of vegan options, we just stepped up to the plate and thought we’d give the vegan grilled cheeses a go,” Old Crow owner Stephanie Vu told VegNews. “We’re so thrilled it has been well received, and we are very happy to see non-vegans and vegetarians trying out our grilled cheeses as well.” The grilled cheese pop-up will operate until August 24, and Vu plans to offer more vegan pop-ups this fall, including vegan brunch pop-up called “Sunday Brunch with the Bogans.”
