Plant-based options mean vegans can easily partake in Chipotle’s Unwrap Extra holiday deals. | Chipotle
Chipotle is giving away free plant-based burritos
Chipotle fans, listen up: you can get a free plant-based burrito on December 13. Yes, this is not a drill. All you have to do is buy one burrito, and then you’ll get another one completely free. The chain has plenty of plant-based filling options, including cilantro-lime brown rice, black beans, pinto beans, tofu sofritas, guacamole, sautéed peppers and onions, and salsa.
The promotion is part of a series of holiday deals from Chipotle, called Unwrap Extra.
“Unwrap Extra is about giving back to our fans and creating moments to come together around the food they crave with the people they love,” said chief brand officer Chris Brandt. “With three consecutive Saturday deals and two surprise drops for every rewards member, this is our biggest holiday promotion yet.”
The deal will also be available on Saturday, December 20, although to qualify for a free burrito then, you’ll have to wear a festive, over-the-top sweater. Better start raiding your wardrobe now.

Chef-owner Guy Vaknin has created a plant-based cheesecake version of the trendy sweet treat, using three different kinds of chocolate, pistachios, cashews, and kadaif. Made with shredded phyllo dough, the latter is essential to any Dubai chocolate dessert.
“This is a dessert my team and I have talked about creating for a long time—and we finally brought it to life,” Vaknin said. “Every detail was crafted to bring the perfect balance of flavor and texture.”

New report says the world’s best vegan restaurant is in Barcelona
If you’ve ever wondered, “Where, exactly, is the best vegan restaurant in the world?” HappyCow has the answer. According to a new report of more than 80 global restaurants from the popular review app, it’s in Barcelona. Specifically, it’s the brunch restaurant Asante, which has more than 530 reviews on the site and is consistently praised for its food quality (especially the vegan eggs), friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere.
HappyCow analyzed millions of reviews on its platform, considering factors like consistency, reliability, and quality to determine its ranking. “This thoughtful approach not only ensures that emerging favorite spots receive the recognition they deserve, but also that well-loved establishments continue to shine for their consistent quality,” said HappyCow owner Claudia Torres.

The space will start out as a restaurant, with plans to eventually introduce a coffee counter and brunch program as well. To cover all the bases, Street Beet will also feature an arcade and is planning to open a full bar.
For now, you can stop by for a vegan fast-food feast with options like Supreme Crunchywraps with Impossible chorizo, animal-style fries, hot honey Brussels sprouts, fried pickle chips, and much more.
“We’ve dreamed of this space for years,” founder Meghan Shaw said. “Bringing Street Beet home to Corktown feels unreal—this is our biggest leap yet, and we can’t wait to feed everyone again.”
