Pizza Hut UK Sells 9,600 Vegan Pizzas in Two Weeks

Pizza Hut UK has sold 9,600 Vegan Jack ‘n’ Ch**se pizzas since launching the limited-edition menu item in celebration of Veganuary for all of January. On launch day, the chain revealed that it would add the vegan pizza to its permanent menu if it sold 10,000 pies in one month. “WOAH! So close to the 10,000 target,” the company posted to its Facebook page this week alongside the “Vegan-O-Meter” pizza counter. “Just need 400 more orders and our Vegan Jack ‘n’ Ch**se will be added as a permanent menu item.” The new pizza—which features vegan cheese, barbecue jackfruit, corn, red onions, peppers, and a drizzle of barbecue sauce—is the latest vegan development at Pizza Hut UK, which launched Violife vegan cheese at all of its locations in 2017.
