In time for the holidays, chef Ayinde Howell recently made his popular Mac & Yease (vegan mac and cheese) available for nationwide delivery. A two-pound family pack costs $19.99 plus shipping and can be ordered online for delivery or ordered from Whole Foods Markets in the Southern Pacific region for pick-up. Howell—the former personal chef for musician India.Arie—developed the now-popular Mac & Yease recipe several years ago as a tribute to his great-grandmother Mary’s Sunday supper staple. He first served the dish on the menu at his restaurant Hillside Quickies Vegan Sandwich Shop in Seattle—which closed in 2013. Last year, Howell partnered with Whole Foods to bring the fan-favorite dish to the hot-food bar at 58 locations in the Southern Pacific region (California, Las Vegas, Arizona, Maui, and Oahu) and expanded the option for a limited time at Whole Foods locations in Northern California.
Update: Mac & Yease has sold out for Thanksgiving but will be available in December.
