Frozen-yogurt chain 16 Handles is introducing a lineup of new vegan flavors featuring cashew-based soft serve. The latest flavor, Cookie Dough Craving, features cookie-dough-flavored soft serve and a chocolate-chip-cookie-dough topping. Handcrafted by the brand’s lead chef with ingredients such as cashews and coconuts, the new vegan soft serve is free from additives such as corn syrup or soy. The brand collaborated with New York-based bakery DŌ Cookie Dough Confections to create the vegan cookie-dough topping, which is available for a limited time at participating locations. “We want more options so our vegan and dairy-alternative guests can flaunt their flavor both in our shops and by ordering on our delivery platforms,” Solomon Choi, 16 Handles CEO and founder, said. “Our Fro-Yo and ice cream fans are going to be surprised at how delicious these flavors are, too. We’re also incredibly excited to partner with DŌ for our new vegan cookie-dough topping, which pairs perfectly with the new soft serve.” The new products join 16 Handles’ growing vegan menu items, including Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle soft serve which launched in January alongside vegan Belgian chocolate chips at its toppings bar. The brand is expected to launch another vegan flavor on March 16.
