California-based vegetarian eatery Amy’s Drive Thru is planning to open a third location in Walnut Creek, CA. The restaurant—which is owned by the family who created the iconic vegetarian brand Amy’s Kitchen—offers a fully veganizeable menu of burgers, pizza, chili fries, mac and cheese, and milkshakes, and a full breakfast menu that includes vegan sausage-and-cheese sandwiches, hash browns, and yogurt parfaits. The new location is expected to include solar panels and a living roof and focus on organic ingredients, which the company is known for. “We believe our family focus makes us a perfect fit for the neighborhood,” Amy’s Drive Thru President Dave Wolfgram said. “Besides delicious food, Amy’s offers a gathering point for the community, from book club meetings to family celebrations.” Amy’s Drive Thru opened its flagship location in Rohnert Park, CA in 2015—which served 500 people who waited in line for more than an hour on opening day. The company recently broke ground on its second drive-through location in Corte Madera, CA, where it will replace a shuttered Denny’s restaurant.
