On June 6, major publisher Penguin Books will release No One Is Too Small to Make A Difference, a book that spotlights Swedish vegan climate activist Greta Thunberg. The book features 11 of Thunberg’s most-inspiring speeches, including the now-famous speech the teen gave in front of 200 world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Poland in December. “This book brings you Greta in her own words, for the first time,” Penguin describes the book. “Collecting her speeches that have made history across Europe, from the UN to mass street protests, No One Is Too Small to Make A Difference is a rallying cry for why we must all wake up and fight to protect the living planet, no matter how powerless we feel. Our future depends upon it.” Sixteen-year-old Thunberg first came into the spotlight last year when she staged a one-child climate protest outside of the Swedish Parliament—an action that has since sparked children-led protests around the world. The young activist adopted a plant-based diet—and convinced her parents to do the same—as part of her fight for bringing awareness to the critical issue of climate change. Earlier this year, Thunberg was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and if she wins, the activist will become the youngest person in history to hold the prestigious award.
