Vegan brand Treeline Treenut Cheese will launch its online cheese shop starting on June 24. Founded in 2012 in Kingston, New York, the company creates French-style cheeses using Brazilian cashews as a base. While Treeline products are available in more than 3,000 retail outlets, the online cheese shop will feature harder-to-find flavors such as Chipotle-Serrano and Green Peppercorn, alongside popular flavors such as Herb-Garlic, Scallion, Cracked Pepper, and Classic Aged Artisanal. Treeline’s online shop will also offer its newest flavor: Premium New York Style Cashew Cream Cheese. Shoppers will be able to purchase either a curated four- or six-pack of vegan cheeses, which are shipped in compostable and/or recyclable materials. “Vegan cheese is at a tipping point, set to join a new generation of vegan meats and non-dairy milks as mainstream grocery staples,” Treeline CEO Michael Schwarz said. Treeline launched its online cheese shop in part to expand its charitable support of non-profit organizations such as Mercy for Animals, Farm Sanctuary, and Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
