This summer, ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs added vegan milkshakes to its scoop shops across Portugal. The new Coconut Cooler milkshakes feature coconut milk with scoops of either mango or raspberry sorbet, according to local news outlet Lifestyle ao Minuto. The new option joins several sorbet-based vegan beverages available in Portugal. While scoop shops in the United States do not offer the new summer milkshakes, Häagen-Dazs sells a variety of vegan pints and bars. In 2017, the ice cream brand debuted its first four flavors (Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle, and Mocha Chocolate Cookie) before expanding the line to include three additional pint flavors (Crunchy Peanut Butter, Coconut Cookies & Crème, and Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee). The brand also sells vegan chocolate-covered bars in the US in two flavors: Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge and Coconut Caramel Dark Chocolate.
