This week, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (known professionally as “Lady Gaga”) unveiled her vegan makeup brand Haus Laboratories. Germanotta partnered with retailer Amazon and her makeup artist Laura Tanno to create the exclusive, in-house collection that features Glam Attack liquid shimmer powders, Le Riot high-shine lip glosses, and RIP ultra-pigmented lip liners that are available in six shades. In an interview with Allure, Germanotta explained she chose to collaborate with Amazon in order to make her vegan line accessible to a large customer base. “Just like with my music, I wanted everyone to have access to it,” Germanotta said. “When I became Lady Gaga when I was younger, it was because I discovered makeup and I discovered creating things myself. It means so much to me on a visceral level—the power of makeup to change how you feel when you’re at your lowest.” The collection will be sold in bundles: two lip liners for $26, two lip glosses for $32, two liquid powders for $36, or three-piece sets for $49 each. These items are the first release of Haus Laboratories with more pieces to come. The Haus Laboratories collection will be available on Amazon for pre-order on July 15 (to kick off Amazon Day, the retailer’s annual sale) and will ship to customers in September.
