Vegan oat-milk soft-serve shop Whipped Urban Dessert Lab will open in Brooklyn, NY this summer. The shop—which claims to be the first to turn oat milk into creamy soft-serve ice cream—is a new concept from the minority and women-owned cake shop in Boston, MA that offers innovative desserts using natural ingredients and no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. The Brooklyn location will focus solely on oat-milk soft serve in Signature Vanilla Sweet Crème and other rotating flavors that can be customized with a variety of vegan sauces in flavors such as Peanut Butter, Coffee, and Mint Chocolate, and crumb coatings such as pretzels, chocolate cookies, strawberry crumble, and salted pecans. The shop also offers select soft-serve combinations, such as Salted Pecan (Vanilla Sweet Crème base coated with crushed salted pecans); Strawberry Shortcake (Vanilla Sweet Crème base coated with strawberry crumble and strawberry sauce); and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel (Vanilla Sweet Crème base coated with pretzels, and chocolate and peanut butter sauce).
