Starting on September 29 and every home game thereafter, the Chicago Bears stadium Soldier Field will offer burgers made with Lightlife Foods’ vegan patties. The burgers will be served with lettuce and tomato on a sesame seed bun and can be customised with condiments. “Being based in the Chicagoland area, we are proud to team up with our local NFL team, the Chicago Bears,” Dan Curtin, President and CEO of Lightlife’s parent company Greenleaf Foods, said. “We’re thrilled to bring Bears fans the delicious Lightlife plant-based burger to expand their in-stadium food options as they cheer on their beloved home team.” To promote the new burger, Lightlife is running a sweepstakes that gives Chicago Bears fans a chance to win free game tickets, apparel, and pregame field passes to the team’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs on December 22.

“We’re excited to partner with Lightlife to not only offer our fans a new plant-based option at home games, but to also bring together two local companies,” Doug Carnahan, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Chicago Bears, said. Before this Sunday’s game between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings, guests can sample a Lightlife burger at the Miller Lite Bears Fan Zone. After the launch, the burgers will be served at concessions stands, in club suites, and at the full-service Lightlife Burger Cart in the north endzone concessions area near Section 256. Earlier this month, Lightlife announced a similar partnership with NFL team the Los Angeles Rams that put its burgers on the menu at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
