This week, vegan chain Cinnaholic—known for its customizable cinnamon rolls—launched its first savory option: Pizza Rolls. The limited-edition item is made with dough that is rolled with marinara sauce and Daiya Foods’ vegan Cutting Board Cheese Shreds and then topped with more sauce and cheese. “While we’re well known for our sweet cinnamon roll creations, we’re excited to switch things up with the new pizza roll,” Cinnaholic president Spencer Reid said. “Few foods are collectively celebrated like pizza, and the fact that we’re a cinnamon roll bakery can’t stop us from bringing the ‘sauce’ to our fans.” Founded in California in 2009, Cinnaholic specializes in cinnamon rolls that can be customized with a variety of frostings (such as cake batter, marshmallow, and hazelnut) and more than 20 topping options (such as cookie dough, brownie bites, and fresh berries). “We’re delighted by the opportunity to provide Cinnaholic with our Cutting Board Cheese Shreds to create their savory Pizza Rolls,” Daiya Foods Vice President of Marketing Dan Hua said. “As two brands that are dedicated to providing consumers with only the highest quality plant-based products, this partnership was a natural fit for us.” The new savory option is available until December 1st at all of Cinnaholic’s nearly 40 locations.
