New York City-based modern wellness center Chillhouse recently partnered with plant-based milk company Elmhurst Milked to offer “Plant-Based and Chill,” a unique vegan experience at its SoHo location from now until February 2. The Elmhurst x Chillhouse café will serve three specialty lattes made with Elmhurst’s plant-based milks: Berry Chill (Elmhurst Milked Oats, strawberry puree, raw cacao, sea salt, and espresso shot); Golden Hour (Elmhurst Milked Almonds, maple syrup, cinnamon, and Get Me Golden powder); and Fresh Start (Elmhurst Milked Hemp Vanilla, lavender, honey peppermint, and Butterfly Pea powder—ordered vegan by omitting honey). Additionally, guests can choose from two Elmhurst-inspired manicure and pedicure services: “Oat My Gosh” and “What the Hemp,” both of which have the option of using oat milk or hemp milk, respectively, in place of a traditional foot bath. Guests who purchase one of the Elmhurst lattes will receive a 10 percent discount on an Elmhurst milk manicure or custom nail art. “As we enter the New Year and continue to see more interest in the plant-based revolution, we want to find places to connect and engage with our customers directly,” Peter Truby, chief marketing officer at Elmhurst Milked, said. “Chillhouse’s commitment to wellness, self-care, and sustainability made them the perfect fit and we’re thrilled to team up to bring their guests an experience that we’re confident they will love.” For 90 years, Elmhurst operated as a dairy company and was the last dairy processor within the New York City limits to close in 2016. In 2017, it re-emerged as a plant-based milk company and now offers a variety of products made from walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, oats, and more.
