This week, vegan corned beef from Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Deli will debut in 16 Seattle locations of fast-food chain Quiznos. The vegan meat will be featured on the new Cali Sub, topped with provolone cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and ranch dressing (which can be ordered vegan by omitting cheese and ranch). Additionally, the corned beef can be added onto any sandwich on the Quiznos menu. Last year, the chain debuted the Unreal Deli corned beef for a limited time in its Denver-area locations. If the Seattle test goes well, Goldfarb expects a country-wide and North American expansion to soon follow.
“We are so excited to turn Seattle ‘Unreal’ with Quiznos,” Unreal Deli founder Jenny Goldfarb told VegNews. “To have delicious, plant-based options available at all our local establishments is what the world is vying for … and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring our premium Unreal Deli meats to the party in Seattle and beyond.”
In August, Unreal Deli launched at all 36 locations of Veggie Grill. The new menu item features the vegan corned beef topped with special sauce, Cleveland Kitchen whiskey dill sauerkraut, and vegan provolone cheese on griddled rye bread.
