This year, fast-food chain White Castle created a plant-based stuffing recipe featuring its popular Impossible Sliders. The simple recipe calls for 10 Impossible Sliders (ordered without cheese and pickles), celery, vegetable broth, and spices which all get baked into a stuffing casserole. The new recipe is a vegan spin on White Castle’s classic recipe, made with its Original beef-based sliders, which it created nearly 30 years ago. To promote the Thanksgiving stuffing recipes, White Castle teamed up with rapper Coolio who will prepare the side dish on his social media channels.

“White Castle exists to feed the souls of Cravers (the chain’s fanbase) everywhere, in every possible way,” White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson said. “In a year unlike any other, we’re redefining how people celebrate Thanksgiving. Whether you’re flying solo, hosting a virtual gathering or joining a few friends and family members, we want to help make it a holiday to remember.”

White Castle first launched the Impossible Slider at its more than 370 locations nationwide in 2018 and partnered with iconic music group Wu-Tang Clan to promote the launch through creative initiatives such as futuristic hotline and web series. In March, Whilte Castle began testing vegan cheddar cheese made by vegan brand GOOD PLANeT Foods at select locations in New York and New Jersey.
