TLC (“Tastes Like Chicken”) Vegan Kitchen recently opened as a “ghost” kitchen (delivery and takeout restaurant) in Garland, TX, right outside of Dallas. The new concept was created by chef Troy Gardner who is the co-owner and executive chef of vegan eatery V-Eats located inside the Trinity Groves marketplace. TLC specializes in dishes such as sandwiches and dinner plates made with Chicken Fried Steak (using Impossible Meat or portabello mushrooms), along with chili-topped burgers, entrée salads, pasta dishes, pizzas topped with homemade cashew cheese, and desserts.

Gardner is known for his award-winning chili and famous vegan brisket he created for V-Eats, which made headlines in 2016 for upsetting meat-eating Texans after Dallas Observer food editor Beth Rankin wrote a positive review about the meatless dish.

TLC Vegan Kitchen is located at 520 Shepherd Dr. and its food is available for delivery and curbside pickup from Sunday through Thursday 4pm to 10pm and Friday through Saturday 4p to 11pm.
