Vegan Bacon Brand Donates Profits to Support Snoop Dogg’s Youth League, Equal Justice Initiative

This week, vegan food company Outstanding Foods—the creator of PigOut Pigless Pork Rinds—is donating 100 percent of its online sales profits to The Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) and Equal Justice Initiative. The SYFL was created by musician Snoop Dogg—who is one of Outstanding Foods’ investors—to give every child an equal opportunity to play football, regardless of race, color, creed, or economic background. The Equal Justice Initiative aims to help bring about change to the systemic racism that exists in the United States. 

“Snoop Dogg is one of our investors and ambassadors and we love that his non-profit provides organized sport and cheer for inner-city children to learn the values of teamwork, good sportsmanship, discipline, and self-respect, while also stressing the importance of academics,” Bill Glaser, Outstanding Foods co-founder and CEO, told VegNews. “We [also] chose to donate to the Equal Justice Initiative because we stand with the Black community and want to do our part so that no Black person has to endure discrimination and senseless abuse and murder.” 

As part of Outstanding Foods’ donation initiative, the company is offering free shipping on all orders this week. Thus far, the start-up has donated a total of $20,000 ($10,000 to each charity) from its own funds.
