This week, vegan snack brand Outstanding Foods announced its newest partner and investor: legendary musician Snoop Dogg. Founded by serial entrepreneur Bill Glaser and David Anderson—one of the co-founders of food-technology company JUST and a former chef at vegan brand Beyond Meat—Outstanding Foods launched its first product line, bacon-flavored vegan PigOut Chips, in 2018. “I’m excited to partner with the Outstanding Foods team. They got some great snacks coming out, including the PigOut munchies,” Snoop Dogg said. “Wait until you see what else we got up our sleeves, ya dig?”

The “munchies” Snoop Dogg is referring to is Outstanding Foods’ new Pigless Pork Rinds, which debuted in February in four soy-free flavors: Original, Hella Hot, Texas BBQ, and Nacho Cheese. “I’ve been a fan of Snoop since day one and I’ve listened to his first album Doggystyle more times than I can count,” Glaser said. “To have Snoop aligned with Outstanding Foods is not only checking off an item on my bucket list, but it’s also exposing Snoop’s millions of fans to our tasty as hell, protein-packed products. I must say, the new PigOut Pigless Pork Rinds pair really well with gin and juice.” As part of the partnership, Snoop Dogg launched a dedicated website to sell Outstanding Foods’ vegan pork rinds and 10 percent of sales will be donated to Snoop Special Stars, a non-profit organization that helps to provide opportunities for inner-city children to participate in youth football and cheerleading. In addition to Snoop Dogg’s investment, Outstanding Foods previously raised $1.5 million, with investments made by Nickelodeon star Daniella Monet and actress Emily Deschanel.
