Oakland, CA-based vegan restaurant Souley Vegan will soon open three new locations in California. At the end of July, Souley Vegan will open its first Southern California location in West Hollywood, followed by a San Francisco location in August, and a new Oakland location—not far from its flagship restaurant—in September. The three new restaurants will be geared towards delivery and pick-up only, and will offer the same extensive menu of vegan soul food, including dishes such as Creole Nachos, Seitan Steaks with Gravy and Mash, Crispy Seitan and Waffles, and OG Southern Fried Tofu.

“I believe the full-service restaurant industry is outdated,” Souley Vegan founder Tamearra Dyson told VegNews. “This model is something I had been considering for some time and COVID provided the space and time to revisit the idea. Right now my team and I are working diligently to ensure we are providing the same—if not better—experience to our beloved consumers. The goal is to offer the ‘wow’ factor from this perspective that has made us what we are today.”
