Vegan eatery and non-alcoholic bar HASH (short for “Heal and Spread Healing”) recently opened in San Antonio, TX. HASH is the city’s first full-service dry bar, offering CBD-infused mocktails and a variety of craft non-alcoholic beers from brands such as Athletic Brewing Company, Heineken, and Budweiser. The food menu focuses on vegan “brinner” (breakfast combined with dinner), serving dishes such as chicken and waffles, breakfast wraps, and loaded hash browns. On Saturdays and Sundays, a DJ plays on-site during brunch hours.

Brothers Rogelio and Michael Sanchez founded HASH to offer the community a sober and healthy choice among the city’s numerous bars and fast-food joints. The brothers have been sober for seven years and vegan for six years. “We focus on that mindset of fitness, eating right, mindfulness, and spiritual healing,” Sanchez told local media outlet mySA. “We are very passionate about bringing that to communities of color … like the Hispanic community has had an issue with alcohol abuse and bad diet for many years, and we want to bring that non-alcoholic option to not only them but to everyone who is receptive to it.”

HASH is in its soft opening stage with an expected grand opening later this month.
