Reality television star Kim Kardashian West is going fully plant-based for the month of January. Kardashian West took to her Instagram stories this week to announce that she and her sister Khloé are doing a “Sister Boot Camp” challenge. “Plant-based and two workouts a day for 30 days to get our mind and body right this year,” Kardashian said. After hearing the news, Beyond Meat sent Kardashian West a variety of its vegan burgers, meatballs, beef, and sausages. “Someone heard I went plant-based,” Kardashian West captioned a photo of the gift on Instagram. “Thank you, @beyondmeat.”

The reality star’s wellness journey kicked off amid rumors of Kardashian West filing for divorce from rapper Kanye West.

Kardashian’s plant-based journey
This isn’t the first time that the 40-year-old star has committed to ditching animal products. “I am eating all plant-based when I am home,” Kardashian West told her millions of Instagram followers in 2019. Shortly thereafter, the star offered fans a peek into her colossal kitchen, pantry, and walk-in refrigerator, showing off a variety of fruits and vegetables, rows of plant-based milks, and an entire freezer full of Beyond Sausages.

Her sister Khloé also set off on a path to ditch meat, an animal product she became disgusted with during her pregnancy in 2018. “Just the sight of [meat] makes me nauseous,” Khloé Kardashian said. “So I’ve become somewhat of a vegetarian during pregnancy, but not by choice. I wonder how I’ll feel about it after I give birth.”
