Online vegan marketplace Vejii will soon offer a curated selection of vegan wines in partnership with vegan wine shop Vegan Wines. Currently, Vejii is home to over 3,000 vegan products, which include grocery, skincare, pet products, and homecare. The online marketplace will add the new product category in the form of curated wine bundles, which will be available in time for Valentine’s Day. The first bundle will feature three wines (Mujer Andina Levita Sparkling Rosé, Château Les Maubats Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge, and La Veneranda Federico Rosato) from Vegan Wines and 25 macarons in five flavors (Raspberry Rose, Black Forest, Pistachio, Blackberry Port, and Chocolate Covered Strawberry) from New York-based vegan bakeshop Sweet Maresa’s. Vejii offers contact-free shipping nationwide.

Vegan wine for all
“We are honoured to be joining the Vejii marketplace—joining some of North America’s leading vegan brands, allowing us to rapidly scale across the country,” Vegan Wines CEO Frances Gonzalez said. “Being able to gain access to Vejii’s community is something we are proud to align our brand with. Vejii has proven their ability to build a community with vegans from all across the country. The move to a plant-based diet is becoming increasingly popular, and by partnering with Vejii to tell our story we will be able to connect with consumers in key markets across the nation.”

Meeting customer needs
The move to add vegan wine to its marketplace follows Vejii’s recent brand ambassador engagements—which include professional surfer and vegan Tia Blanco and other athletes—as well as reviewing its marketplace data to get an understanding of what customers are looking for. “Providing wine on our website is an exciting opportunity,” Veji Director Darren Gill said. “We’ve seen the success of the online liquor industry due to the recent  impacts of COVID-19, and having it as a part of our plant-based platform adds to the  opportunity for our company to be able to better provide for our customers.”

Vegan Wines Veganuary bundle
Earlier this month, Vegan Wines also announced that it is offering a special Veganuary Bundle until January 31 through its own site which includes vegan wine, cheeses, and meats in celebration and support of Veganuary—an annual challenge that encourages people to go vegan for the month of January.
