This month, vegan CBD-infused skincare line Happy Dance is rolling out at retailer Ulta Beauty nationwide. Co-founded in 2020 by actress Kristen Bell and in partnership with cannabis company Cronos Group Inc, the Happy Dance collection was previously only available online. The collection features three bath and body care products made with hemp-derived CBD: Whipped Body Butter ($30), Head-to-Toe Coconut Melt ($25); and Stress Away Bath Bomb ($15). “My goal in creating Happy Dance was to make trusted, high-quality, everyday CBD skin care products more widely available to busy moms and consumers everywhere at a price that wouldn’t break the bank,” Bell said. “Ulta Beauty is the perfect partner to make that dream a reality. I am grateful for their approach to beauty and their belief in our vision to rethink self-care.”

Ulta is currently offering the collection at 101 “SPARKED” locations (which feature up-and-coming brands) with plans to roll out the line to more than 550 Ulta Beauty stores on March 15. “We are thrilled to welcome Happy Dance into the Ulta Beauty family to offer trusted, refreshingly relevant CBD products to our guests,” Monica Arnaudo, Chief Merchandising Officer at Ulta Beauty, said. “We admire Kristen’s commitment to every aspect of the brand from the clean ingredients to the meaningful purpose. Her approach is best-in-class to engage, educate, and entertain beauty enthusiasts and we look forward to guests embracing the brand online and in our stores.”

Happy Dance donates one percent of its profits from sales to Los Angeles-based A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project, a Black-owned organization that provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services, advocacy, and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after prison.

Kristen Bell’s vegan brands

Happy Dance is the second vegan brand to be launched by Bell. In February 2019, Bell and her actor husband Dax Shepard launched vegan baby brand Hello Bello exclusively at Walmart with products such as vegan shampoo, lotion, sunscreen, bug repellant, wipes, and diapers—all priced between $1.25 and $26.99, with the majority of items priced under $10. In October 2019, the couple expanded the vegan baby brand to Canada.
