On April 5, retail giant Target will launch 700 sweet and savory products under its new in-house brand Favorite Day, including new vegan ice cream options. The products were developed by Target’s internal team of food scientists and recipe developers to give customers indulgent options at affordable prices—with everything in the product line priced below $15.

The new Favorite Day vegan ice cream pint options are similar to those previously offered under its in-house Archer Farms brand (which will be replaced by Favorite Day) and include seven flavors: Vanilla Cake & Cookie Dough, Mocha Almond Fudge, Strawberry & Fudge, Cashew Caramel, Vanilla Bean, Caramel Fudge Brownie, and Peanut Butter & Chocolate. However, the Favorite Day line expands Target’s vegan ice cream selection to new oat milk-based bars (a 4-pack of which retail for $4.49) in three flavors: Peanut, Vanilla Salted Caramel, and Forest Fruit.

Expanding in-house vegan options at Target

In 2019, Target launched its flagship in-house brand Good & Gather under which it offers some vegan products such as oat, coconut, and almond milks, meatless chicken tenders and vegan beef patties, along with produce items. “We’re thrilled to build on Good & Gather’s success and the strength of Target’s food and beverage business by debuting our new owned brand, Favorite Day,” Rick Gomez, Executive Vice President and Chief Food and Beverage Officer at Target, said. “Rooted in guest insights and developed by our talented Target team, Favorite Day is a sweet and savory addition that tastes amazing, makes life’s little moments of indulgence even sweeter, and continues to differentiate Target’s owned brand portfolio.”

Outside of its own line, Target also offers vegan ice cream options from Ben & Jerry’s, NadaMoo!, Daiya, So Delicious, Halo Top, and many more.
