Vegan fast-food restaurant and drive-thru Life–The Vegan Drive Thru recently opened in Cape Coral, FL. The eatery offers vegan versions of fast-food breakfast classics, such as sausage breakfast sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, and tuna melts, in addition to healthier fare such as fresh-pressed juice, smoothie bowls, soups, and salads. Florida’s new vegan fast-food restaurant adds to the growing list of plant-based drive-thrus that are popping up across North America. Last last year, California-based vegan chain Plant Power Fast Food announced the opening of another drive-thru in a former Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Fountain Valley, CA—its fifth location. And Canadian chain Globally Local opened the world’s first 24-hour vegan drive-thru in 2017 in a space formerly occupied by popular Canadian fast-food chain Harvey’s before expanding to two more locations with another slated to open this Spring.
