In 2014, it’s hard to believe that more plant-based options aren’t offered at fast-food restaurants. But when an international chain comes out with a sandwich that contains eight different kinds of meat, we’re dazed and confused. Seriously? In 2014? Arby’s has just debuted its “Meat Mountain”, a heaping pile of roast beef, steak, brisket, corned beef, ham, turkey, pepper bacon, and chicken tenders. If that’s not enough to induce a spontaneous heart attack, it also contains two types of cheese. The Meat Mountain clocks in at an estimated 1200 calories with 48 grams of fat. Tell Arby’s how you feel about this disaster-on-a-plate—from the health to the animal to the environmental repercussions.
