Famed vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli recently partnered with tofu brand Nasoya to make the plant-protein more alluring. “Our goal is to make tofu accessible and appealing to the masses,” Nasoya Marketing Director Tanja Owen said. “By working with Chef Chloe, we’re able to provide resources for vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians that put tofu at the center of the plate in an approachable, flavor-forward way.” Coscarelli created two new recipes for the brand—Spicy Chipotle-Mango Tofu Tacos and Greek Sliders with Sriracha-Lime Hummus—to showcase the versatility of Nasoya’s extra-firm tofu. Coscarelli also created a list of tips to help people incorporate more tofu into their diets—including experimenting with new spices, making breakfast scrambles, and cooking tofu on the grill. Coscarelli has been credited with bringing vegan diets to the mainstream through her various endeavours such as cookbooks, restaurants, and television appearances—including becoming the first vegan chef to win Food Network’s Cupcake Wars in 2012.
