Today, national theater chain Alamo Drafthouse—known for its beer, food, and movie-going experience—will debut an expanded vegan menu. The new offerings, added after the cinema brand ascertained a high demand for plant-based options, include avocado toast, two quinoa-based bowl options, a vegan burger option made with Beyond Meat’s Beyond Burger, and buffalo cauliflower served with vegan ranch. Last year, Alamo Drafthouse added the Beyond Burger to its Austin, TX locations before expanding the offering nationwide. While the vegan food options have been incorporated into the menu at all Alamo Drafthouse locations, a number of theaters feature the new items on a separate vegan menu, making it easier for cruelty-free customers to order from their seats without interrupting the movie to explain their dietary choices.
