Owners of meat-centric Oowee Diner Verity Foss and Charlie Watson—whose limited vegan menu became wildly popular—will launch all-vegan eatery Oowee Vegan next week in Bristol, United Kingdom. The new eatery will feature dishes such as the Nutty Clucker (crispy seitan burger with satay sauce, sriracha may, and slaw) and the Smokin’ Hot Cluck (seitan burger with hot sauce, smoked Gouda cheese, mayo, pickles, and slaw). Oowee Vegan also plans to offer holiday menu specials such as Tater Tot Poutine with vegan chicken tenders, cheese curds, cranberry ketchup, and gravy; and a seitan burger with smoked gouda cheese, sage-and-onion mayo, cranberry ketchup, and slaw. “Our vegan menu was such a hit at Oowee we wanted to give our vegan followers the same choice as our meat-eaters in a space away from meat,” Foss told media outlet Bristol Post. “We want to turn a lot of people onto this and show this food isn’t just for vegans.”
