Canadian actor Dan Levy—of Schitt’s Creek fame—is a big fan of a vegan chicken sandwich served by Toronto-based shop Stefano’s Sandiwches. The sandwich was created with the help of television personality and former Discovery Channel host Ziya Tong. It is made with vegan chicken from Barcelona-based brand Heura breaded in Tong’s secret spice recipe, and is served with vegan mayonnaise, lettuce, and pickles on housemade ciabatta bread.

“Hey Toronto! I had the great privilege of sampling every vegan sandwich on this menu and let me tell you, they are the best I’ve ever had,” Levy tweeted. “Thanks for the recco @ziyatong!” The vegan chicken sandwich was also featured on the cover of local media outlet NOW Magazine.

Stefano’s Sandwiches opened last month for takeout and delivery. The eatery’s other sandwich offerings include the vegan filet-o-fish, meatball sub, eggplant Parmigiano, Italian sausage, and the All-Day Breakfast. Stefano’s also offers lasagna, sides such as mac and cheese and Caesar salad, and desserts such as tiramisu.
