Etsy Brand Launches Gilmore Girls Vegan Eyeshadow

Etsy shop Brija Cosmetics released a vegan eyeshadow palette inspired by the hit coming-of-age show Gilmore Girls. Owner Briana Jane launched the cosmetics brand in 2013 with the mission to develop a chemical- and cruelty-free mineral line that uses organic oils and relies on pop-culture references for inspiration. Included in the 17-eyeshadow pallete are colors such as “Punctuality” (inspired by diligent town selectman and store clerk Taylor Doose), “Vicious Trollop” (a nod to Lorelai’s overbearing mother, Emily Gilmore)—and, of course, “Hit by a Deer,” which is dedicated to daughter Rory Gilmore and “It All Comes Out in Moron” inspired by her mother, Lorelai. Shadows can be purchased individually and come with a Gilmore Girls-themed hand-painted cap. The world of vegan cosmetics is ever-expanding with quirky new choices such as Harry Potter-themed synthetic makeup brushes that launched—and immediately sold out—in October. Four new—and final— episodes of the quick-witted mother-daughter comedy will debut on Netflix on November 25.
