Vegan brand Follow Your Heart (FYH) recently debuted Avocado Oil Vegenaise, a new twist on its classic Vegenaise vegan mayonnaise, at Meijer grocery stores. While the classic version is made with canola oil, the new vegan mayonnaise is made with oil sourced from ripe avocados.
“We get requests daily from fans for different variations of Vegenaise and this one was high on the list,” FYH Marketing Manager Laura Sklov told VegNews. “In our opinion, avocados are always a good idea and with the rising trend in avocado-based products, it was a natural line extension to combine two of our consumers’ favorite things: Vegenaise and avocado oil.” Avocado Oil Vegenaise—which has a suggested retail price of $6.99 per 16-ounce container—will also soon be available at Sprouts Markets, select Vons stores in Southern California, and select regions of Whole Foods Market.
The company was born in 1970 as a soup-and-sandwich café in California and is now a well-known vegan brand that offers a variety of consumer products, including a line of cheeses, yogurts, salad dressings, dips, sour cream, vegan egg replacer, wraps, and bread. In the foodservice sector, FYH’s vegan cheese is offered by major chains, including Domino’s in Australia.
