Customers who choose vegan options at the Glasgow locations of restaurants Pizza Punks, Slouch, and Monterey Jacks during the month of January will receive a free alcoholic soda courtesy of vegan-certified brand Crooked Beverage Co. The three restaurants partnered with Crooked to promote their vegan options to those who are participating in Veganuary. Permanent vegan options at Pizza Punks include pizza toppings such as vegan cheese, plant-based haggis, and veggie sausage, while Monterey Jacks offers pizzas and burgers that can be ordered vegan. Slouch offers more extensive vegan options such as fried pickles, tortillas filled with pulled jackfruit, and the Dukk You I Won’t Do What You Tell Me (a platter of harissa-roasted cauliflower topped with Middle Eastern spice dukkah and served with lentil dahl and non-dairy yogurt). All three restaurants will offer vegan options connected to the promotion and customers who purchase these menu items can choose from three flavors of free Crooked soda: Dayglo Skies (Raspberry and Lime), Midnight Stage (Blood Orange and Passion Fruit), and Mother Moon (Peach and Pomegranate).
