Southern California’s MUSE school—founded by director James Cameron’s wife, Suzy Amis Cameron—will officially go vegan this fall. The private school has an environmentally focused curriculum, and the Hollywood couple says serving vegan meals is what is consistent with the principles of the school. At an event last week to promote Suzy’s new fashion line, James enthusiastically shared the news, saying “Meals at MUSE will be 100 percent plant-based. The average person would say vegan, but we say whole food, plant-based. It’s about raising kids who don’t think it’s strange or exotic or worthy of a pat on the back to be doing the right thing for the living biosphere.” The couple went vegan in 2012 after watching the film, Forks Over Knives, and have plans to open a vegan restaurant in New Zealand.
