Grammy-award winning musician Jermaine Dupri is the latest celebrity to endorse veganism in a new ad campaign by animal-rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The musician is depicted on a poster with the slogan, “Feel the beets. Lose the meats. Go Vegan,” in which he is pictured holding two raw beets to his ears. “I want the world to know the vegan lifestyle, to me, is the best lifestyle,” Dupri said in a video that accompanies the print advertisement. “I feel like anybody that has a problem with their energy level being right, tired all the time, you can definitely feel the difference. A vegan lifestyle puts you on that track to just be healthy.” Dupri—who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year for his work with stars such as Usher and Mariah Carey—is part of a growing group of celebrities that actively promote veganism, including The Voice judge will.i.am, singer Mya, and musician Ne-Yo.
