Snack brand KIND recently launched vegan ice cream line KIND Frozen at Walmart, and it will be available at Target and online through Amazon in June. The new line features two flavors made with a base of almond milk and nut butter: Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter. “Here at KIND, we’re committed to delivering on our KIND Promise to use a nutrient-dense food recommended for daily consumption as the first ingredient in all of our snacks,” a KIND Spokesperson told VegNews. “When we looked at the frozen treat category, we saw that the majority of products were heavily reliant on cream and sugar and wanted to offer an elevated and more healthful alternative. That’s why in all of our plant-based KIND Frozen bars we use whole nuts as our first ingredient in addition to nut butter.”

In 2016, the brand—which typically uses honey and milk into its snack bars—debuted Pressed by KIND, a fully vegan line in five flavors: Mango Apple Chia, Pineapple Coconut Chia, Pineapple Banana Kale Spinach, Apricot Pear Carrot Beet, and Cherry Apple Chia. KIND has since rebranded the line to be called KIND Whole Fruit and added an additional fully vegan flavor: Banana & Dark Chocolate.
