Los Angeles-based vegan eatery Ramen Hood will expand into the Chefs Club Counter space in New York City from October 15 until mid-January. Top Chef season two winner Ilan Hall opened Ramen Hood in LA’s Grand Central Market in 2015 where he serves innovative vegan dishes such as bánh mì poutine and Tofu al Pastor as sides to the eatery’s namesake main dish, ramen, which features a mushroom-based “pork” broth topped with a head-turning vegan egg made from soy milk (white) and nutritional yeast (yolk). Chefs Club Counter hosts a variety of chef-driven concepts for a short residency period in its Lower Manhattan space and has previously hosted fellow Top Chef alums Sam Talbot and Kristen Kish.
