A Meat-Free Mondays campaign has been launched in South Africa, following the October 1 World Vegetarian Day celebration and the beginning of Vegetarian Awareness Month. The campaign, which aims to bring light to the link between animal consumption and climate change, is supported by the organizations Beauty Without Cruelty, Animal Anti-Cruelty league, and the SA Vegan Society. “Having one designated meat-, chicken-, and fish-free day a week is actually an easy yet meaningful change that everyone can make,” Beauty Without Cruelty campaign manager Toni Brockhoven said.
