Mother’s Day Campaign

Vancouver’s Liberation BC, an organization dedicated to promoting the vegan lifestyle and building a strong community of animal advocates, will be hosting its second annual Cow Ribbon campaign this Mother’s Day to bring attention to all of the mother cows in the dairy industry. “Dairy cows are symbolic representatives of all of the animal mothers whose lives and reproductive systems are manipulated by humans,” writes Glenn Gaetz, director of Liberation BC. People can purchase a cow-patterned ribbon pin to wear. The organization hopes that these ribbons will elicit questions and start conversations about the dairy industry; all proceeds go to support Liberation BC’s work.
