Muay Thai Fighter to Open Vegan Bakery in NYC

Amatuer Muay Thai fighter/vegan chef Watt Sriboonruang will open “bakery” Rawsome Treats in Manhattan, NYC this month. The bakery will feature more than 30 varieties of raw desserts such as tarts, cakes, truffles, and pies made with nut-based crusts, creamy cashew bases, and ingredients such as matcha powder, activated charcoal, and black sesame seeds. Sriboonruang adopted a raw vegan diet in 2012 while training for a Muay Thai fight. In 2013, the fighter launched raw food company Rawsome Treats to share her passion for raw, plant-based foods with friends and family. Once open, Rawsome Treats will expand the vegan offerings on Orchard Street, which currently includes vegan shop Orchard Grocer (which opened last year) and vegan retailer MooShoes.
