New Black-owned vegan company Everything Legendary is now delivering boxes of its decadent burgers nationwide. Founded in 2019 by friends Duane Myko, Danita Jones, and Chef Jumoke Jackson, the Maryland-based company pivoted amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to provide nationwide delivery of its burgers—made with a proprietary blend of hemp protein, coconut oil, potato starch, and beet extract.
“Our goal is to educate the community on the benefits of a healthy vegan lifestyle,” Myko told Because of Them We Can. “With Everything Legendary we hope to break generational curses of unhealthy eating. As everyone knows, Black people have higher rates of blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. Everything Legendary strives to provide healthy and delicious plant based meat products that everyone will enjoy.”
Everything Legendary offers a classic burger and three flavors of cheese-infused patties: Cheddar, Cayenne Pepper, and Pepper Jack. The company offers boxes in 4-packs (choice of burger flavor) and 8-packs (choice between a variety of flavors or classic patties) and each comes with a bottle of Legend Sauce.
